Course Options:

MHFA Essentials (6 hours)- Focused training on core skills. Participants receive a certificate of completion. $350 per participant

MHFA Certification (12 hours over 2 days)- A comprehensive program leading to a 3-year MHFA certification. $600 per participant

Participants will have the tools to help family members, friends, colleagues, and students with mental health concerns. This training is particularly beneficial for those who work in healthcare, education, HR, social services, or sectors with higher burnout rates and risk for vicarious trauma.

What is Mental Health First Aid?

The MHFA includes 2 course options:

Essentials (1-day course) or Certification (2-day course), providing individuals and organizations with the skills to assist others experiencing declining mental health or a mental health crisis.

Participants attending the certification course will receive a 3-year certification from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

    Applying ALGES to scenarios - suicidal thoughts and behaviours, panic attacks, reaction to trauma, severe effects of alcohol use.

    Self-stigma and self-care.
