“If someone you know sprains their ankle chances are you will know what to do,

If they have a panic attack, chances are you won’t”

Mental Health First Aid is an interactive course that teaches you how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. This training helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and addictions.

Participants will have the tools to help family members, friends, colleagues, and students with mental health concerns. This training is particularly beneficial for those who work in healthcare, education, HR, social services, or sectors with higher burnout rates and risk for vicarious trauma.

What is Mental Health First Aid?

The MHFA certification is a one-day evidence-based program that provides people with skills to assist others experiencing declining mental health or a mental health crisis.

Participants will receive certification from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
